How exactly can it help me? Let's say you attend a high school or a college other than D'Youville, and your instructor has told you that you need help with fragments.
Instead of hiring a private tutor, you can click on the index and then click on "fragments," and you can read the brief instructional presentations on fragments which include examples of what a fragment is. Then you can practice identifying fragments, distinguishing fragments from complete sentences, and changing fragments to complete sentences by clicking on Exercise 1 or 2. After completing each exercise, you can check your answers correct answers are the buttons that light up in green.
By the time you are finished, you will have learned what a fragment is and how to correct one, and then you can apply that knowledge to your own writing assignments. What is the best way to use the Online Writing Lab?
First, find the area in which you need help. Then click on that area and just follow the directions. It's as simple as that. Whom do I contact if I have questions? If you have a question about any of the instructional presentations, exercises, or answers, e-mail Mary Applegate at applegat dyc.
